/ ABOUT THE ORGANISATION

Sakeji Mission School is a Christian primary boarding school situated near Ikelenge in a small finger of land which lies between Angola and Congo, in the remote northern tip of the North Western Province of Zambia. It is 70 kilometres north of Mwinilunga and 600 kilometres (about eight hours drive) from Kitwe. The school takes its name from the Sakeji River, a tributary of the Zambezi River which is itself not far from the school on the Zambia-Congo watershed.

Sakeji Mission School was founded in 1925 by pioneer missionaries Dr and Mrs Walter Fisher, who had moved to the top of Kalene Hill in 1906 in order to establish medical facilities for the Lunda people. The school was established to educate the children of missionaries in this very remote area.

Today the school continues providing quality education in a nurturing environment; educating, training and caring for children in ways which honor God.

/ ABOUT OUR PROJECT
Sakeji Mission School is preparing to celebrate their centenary in 2025 and require professional photography for their new website. We are very happy to be able to support Sakeji by taking volunteer professional photographers to visit the school and document their work and their rich history.
/ FUNDING REQUIRED

While all photography and post-production work is done by our volunteer geeks who donate their professional time, we must still raise funds to cover the logistics of getting our volunteers to and from this remote site. The budget for this project covers a single project trip to Sakeji Mission School.
