/ ABOUT THE ORGANISATION
Nyangombe Christian Training Centre (NCTC) is located near Mwinilunga in the remote North Western Province of Zambia.
The primary purpose of NCTC is Bible Teaching amongst the Lunda people. Alongside this work, NCTC also conducts training in carpentry, building, IT, dressmaking, agriculture, animal husbandry and in other skills to equip young men and women to either gain employment or to earn an honest living on completion of courses. It is the only such centre in the region and within 100,000 square kilometres. Annually over 3,000 people pass through Nyangombe and many are built up in their faith through the varied programs run.
/ ABOUT OUR PROJECT
Nyangombe does the most incredible work in teaching and training thousands of people a year in a variety of skills that mean they are empowered to earn a living and provide for their families in a very remote area of the country where very few formal jobs exist.
Mission Geeks is supporting NCTC by creating a new website and producing a video that tells their story to the world because we think it is one that should be told! The impact this place (and the dedicated people who serve there) has on the community in this vast area of Zambia is immense and we are very proud to be able to support their work!
/ FUNDING REQUIRED
While all the design, coding, photography, editing and production work is done by our volunteer geeks who donate their professional time, we must still raise funds to cover the logistics of getting our volunteers to and from this remote site.
Mr. Ivan Haigh and a second anonymous donor have now fully funded this project! We are so grateful to them both and look forward to visiting Nyangombe early in the new year.
