The people of Zambia are living through the worst drought in decades with many small-scale farmers having lost their crops entirely. Never before has the work of Foundations for Farming Zambia been more important. We worked with their team in Mkushi to produce a short film about Memory, a small-scale farmer in Mkushi, that shows how it is possible to produce a successful harvest, even in a drought year, by using the methods Foundations for Farming teach.
The majority of their time is spent teaching people values such as: faithfulness, giving, doing things on time, at a high standard, without wasting resources and doing it all with the joy of the Lord as their strength. Foundations for Farming teaches people to be faithful with what God has given them, no matter how small that thing may be. Starting small and being faithful provides a solid foundation for God to build upon and add to.
