We are proud to be working to develop a project with the North Swaka Trust right here in Mkushi. The North Swaka and Mkushi Headwaters protected forests are areas of outstanding natural beauty designated to safeguard the headwaters of the Mkushi and Lunsemfwa rivers.
The North Swaka trust aims to preserve, protect and perpetuate the ecosystem in a financially sustainable manner, in partnership with the local community for the benefit of present and future generations.
The NST is looking for an adventurous forestry consultant who would be willing to donate their time to come and live in the reserve and conduct several baseline studies that would include plant inventory and carbon stock as well as an animal, bird and insect inventory.
The consultant would live in a beautiful camp within the reserve and receive a travel and subsistence allowance while experiencing a unique and exciting part of Africa.
